The World is changing! Technological changes of last decades, including IT and Internet, hugely influence world economy. As more and more newly developed technologies come business sees a lot of risks dealing with these technologies and not only in a sense of technological development but also in a sense of intellectual property management and protection of IP rights. Major common big issue in understanding IP rights risks is difficulty in collaboration between legal departments, front offices and risk-managers. Working together is critical to understand the true potential impact of IP rights risks on business.
Dentons together with ISAR developed unique risk-based technology for intellectual property management. This is based on quantification of risks associated with infringement of third-party IP rights considering information from legislation, management processes and existing controls, business plans and strategy. The technology allows identify and assess IP rights risks, it’s impact to the core business goals and allow to avoid potential fines and IP-related litigation that is not only costly, but also time consuming and can result in major reputational damage.

Victor Naumov has been advising government authorities and leading Russian and global companies for more than 23 years on a wide range of legal issues, including intellectual property protection and the management of intangible assets; regulation of Internet and e-commerce; IT and data security; regulation of video games, mass media and telecommunications, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, Legal Tech, Big Data, Fintech, 3D printing, robotics and quantum technologies. He also has unique experience providing legal support and successfully settling IT, IP, telecommunications, media and Internet litigation.
